Evenings
Three ways to spend one: the porch and a long dinner, the walk down to bridge street, or the small card room in the drying barn. The last is entirely optional.
Staying up here
The porch has lamps, blankets in the chest, and stays usable until eleven even in January. On Saturdays somebody plays unamplified in the corner of the restaurant and finishes by half past ten.
Going down
Eleven minutes down the ridge road, eighteen coming back. The desk will tell you what is open, what is busy, and roughly what a table costs. We have no financial interest in anything in the valley and take nothing for pointing you toward it.
The drying barn
One room with three tables and its own door, open from seven, eighteen and over, with photographic identification checked every time. Hours, tables, and floor rules are set out on the Gaming page.
