Springs
Three fed pools stepping down the slope, a steam hut, and a cold trough that nobody stays in for long. Included with every lodge.
What is out there
- Upper pool, closest to the source and the warmest, at about forty degrees.
- Middle pool, a little cooler, big enough for a dozen people at a stretch.
- Lower pool, coolest, and the only one where children are allowed.
- A cedar steam hut and an open cold trough fed straight off the hill.
Hours and rules
Open 06:30 to 22:00 for staying guests. Swimwear in all three pools, robes on the hooks, and quiet from eight in the evening. Children until six, in the lower pool only, with an adult in the water.
This spa is not linked to anything else on the ridge. Using it never requires a treatment, a dinner reservation, or a visit to any other building.
The pools are outdoors and the ridge is exposed. In winter the walk between the steam hut and the upper pool is short but genuinely cold, so use the robe rather than sprinting.
